Returns can be costly, messy and downright depressing BUT making them easier for your shoppers will actually grow your business. Over 30% of online purchases are returned and over two-thirds of shoppers will read a returns policy online before committing to a purchase. So, why is it still so hard for retailers to get it right?

Rob is the Co-Founder and Joint CEO of Shippit.com – the shipping engine for modern retail. He brings a common-sense approach to Australian retailing with a passion for customer-driven innovation and simplification. Having spent almost a decade working for the world's leading FMCG businesses (Procter & Gamble, Unilever) across Asia, Rob has vast experience in delivering growth driving strategies for retailers such as Woolworths, Coles, Tesco and Priceline and numerous global brands. Responsible for Shippit’s strategic direction and developing complex client solutions, Rob has partnered with leading online retailers such as Harvey Norman, Sephora, Glue Store, Topshop Topman, Petcircle and many more to revolutionise the way parcels are delivered. Founded in 2014 by Rob and close friend Will On, the company has since grown to over 15 employees, serving more than 700 customers Australia-wide.

 

Dean is the Co-Founder and CEO of GlamCorner – Australia's largest online designer fashion rental business. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Finance at the University of Sydney, Dean spent the first four years of his career as an investment banker – working in Sydney, London and New York. Dean and his wife Audrey founded GlamCorner in 2012 as they saw an opportunity to introduce the benefits of the Sharing Economy to the wardrobes of Australian women. The company has since raised over $1.3 million in funding from AirTree Ventures and now has over 40 employees.

 

Leonie is an experienced retail consultant in business processes with demonstrated expertise in project management and system implementation. Leonie has an extensive background in production and sourcing, working for significant Australian apparel operations, as well as over 10 years experience in wholesale /retail systems implementation and support, working on business process and systems improvements. Leonie has over 5 years as a lead consultant with 6r, her expertise is business process review. During this time Leonie has successfully project managed implementations of sourcing, procurement, merchandising and PLM systems and has worked in collaboration with internal stakeholders, technical consultants and software vendors. Leonie ensures smooth, timely and cost effective systems integration and extensive experience supporting and transferring skills in a variety of retail & wholesale specific software packages. Leonie is also a qualified trainer.
