Domestic eCommerce is nearing maturity with only marginal increases in the frequency of online purchases year over year. Many retailers are now expanding cross-border or 'near-border', uncovering scores of new and highly profitable customers. But as is the case with all growth strategies, this comes with its own set of challenges and obstacles.
Join NORA Network founder Paul Greenberg in conversation with Jeremy Crooks from Pitney Bowes and Simon Hickson from Alibaba Cloud, as they discuss the results of a recent study that surveyed 1,275 retailers from eight countries and 12,000 consumers from 11 global markets to uncover three key trends that are defining growth:
• Take a cue (or two) from marketplaces.
• Don't rely on brand alone.
• Look like a foreigner, talk like a local.
