Dr. Gary Mortimer is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the QUT Business School. Prior to joining QUT, Dr Mortimer spent over 25 years working with some of Australia’s largest general merchandise and food retailers. Widely recognised as Australia’s leading retail expert and media commentator, he is also an active researcher in the areas of food retailing, retail operations and consumer behaviour. He has published over 70 academic manuscripts, conference papers, delivered key note addresses and industry reports. He has recently been appointed to the Nine Network as their ‘Consumer Expert’.
