WEDNESDAY 29 MAY
11AM – 11.45AM
Fraud managers can know their own fraud and customer data intimately, and yet still find themselves overtaken by events. However effective or efficient your fraud team, there are times when it helps to have industry colleagues to collaborate with and access to data beyond your immediate company or industry segment.
In this session,ACI will explore the fraud risks facing merchants – and show why fraud managers need to reach beyond their own organisations to benefit from shared fraud intelligence. Examples will use link analysis to show how fraud emerges and tracks across operators within the mobile telecom industry, before jumping sectors to re-appear in a completely different type of business.
In a world where merchants' broader community share a common purpose in tackling fraud, the power of the consortium is significant.Data isn’t a competitive issue – when shared it can enable faster response and better profiling, to improve both acceptance and fraud detection, and serve as a lifeline for managers in the face of fast-moving fraudsters.
- Fraud challenges for telecom companies – what’s unique and what’s shared
- Link analysis, for examples of how fraud tracks across companies in a single industry – and out into other sectors
- The power of shared global fraud intelligence to enable better, faster detection
- The use of data to profile fraudsters and genuine customers, to improve acceptance.
