After qualifying as a chartered accountant Lior decided it was time for an adventure and threw himself in the world of tech start-ups.
He launched his first start-up called MOCA (Mobile Communications Advertising). Here is where he learnt how to hustle, get things done and raise some cash.
After successfully launching, Lior exited the business to move to Australia.
On the other side of the coin his career as a CA has taken him to Private equity firms at the cutting edge of the industry. His most exciting PE experiences were at LeapFrog Investments, now a $1 billion fund, the first social-entrepreneurship profit-with-purpose fund the world has seen.
His flair for the entrepreneurial never left him and he and 2 close friends started up an advisory firm called Rimon Advisory. Rimon work with 100s of entrepreneurs assisting them commercialise and grow.
This advisory firm then grew into a spin off technology fund called Rimon Investments which currently invests in the next wave of disruptive Australian technology.
Michael Jankie, Founder of several exciting businesses such as LeadChat, PoweredLocal, Audiencepush (ecommerce/Facebook and Google marketing tool) as well as e-commerce retail businesses in the apparel market. Michael is an example of an online retailer that Rimon have assisted with government funding
Michael is a Melbourne based builder and operator of a handful of businesses that have global customer bases.
Having built (and exited a few) more companies than he can remember, is an advocate for the new entrepreneur. He believes that we’re long past the days where you spend months writing business plans, preparing documents for the bank to give you loans and then building up checklists and processes for launching a new company - there is nothing he does today that took more than a week to think about before launching and getting its first paying customer.
He has a few other ventures that take up his time, he is currently working as co-founder at LeadChat - the live chat sales team for your website & PoweredLocal - bringing customer analytics and word of mouth marketing to offline businesses through Free WiFi.
